About Me
Hi, I’m Craig Leavell — a lifelong photography enthusiast and the past owner of CJ Photography, LLC.
My journey behind the lens began back in 1981 while studying at Ball State University, where I took my first photography classes and discovered a true passion for capturing the world through a camera. What started as a creative outlet eventually grew into something more. In 2008, I founded CJ Photography, LLC, and began photographing professionally.
I love taking photos of people, animals, landscapes, and just about anything that captures my attention — but my favorite work is portrait photography. There’s something special about helping people create lasting, personal images that reflect who they are and what they value.
After many fulfilling years working in youth development, I recently “retired,” giving me the time to focus even more on what I love — photography. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me traveling or camping with my wife, riding my motorcycle, tending to my bonsai trees, or enjoying whatever new adventures come my way.
